You Want Peace? Go Straight to the Source.
In a world where everyone is searching for peace—calling it happiness, fulfilment, or contentment—we often look for it in places that can never truly provide it. We chase it in people, hoping they will complete us. We seek it in success, believing achievement will bring contentment. We try to fill the void with distractions, thinking temporary relief is the same as lasting tranquility.
But no matter how much we chase, no matter how much we attain, that deep, unwavering sense of peace always seems just out of reach. Why?
Because peace is not something we find—it is something that is given. And the only One who holds it, the only One who can place it in our hearts, is Allah, As-Salām, The Source of Peace.
We don’t need to search endlessly. We don’t need to go through layers of external means, hoping they will bring us peace. There is no need to go via via—peace comes directly from Allah.
“Indeed, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.”
(Qur’ān 13:28)
This means peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances, in an easy life, or in the actions of others. Peace is found in the presence of Allah.
This is why some people have everything this world has to offer but still feel empty. And it’s why others may have nothing, yet radiate tranquility—because peace was never meant to be in things, but in the One who controls all things.
When we stop chasing peace in places that were never meant to provide it and start seeking it in the only One who is Peace, everything changes.
You want peace? Turn to As-Salām.
You want peace? Let Allah place it in your heart.
Because peace isn’t the absence of problems—it’s the presence of Allah in your life.
So stop exhausting yourself. Stop waiting for people or circumstances to give you what they don’t have to offer. Stop running toward things that were never meant to sustain you.
Instead, walk toward Allah, and let the peace you seek find you.
